The latest edition of SmackDown Live for July 2, 2019 took place at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, TX.

Here is a recap of the most noteworthy highlights from this episode for those who might have missed it:

— Kevin Owens hosted an edition of The KO Show with Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre. Shane revealed that their match at Extreme Rules will now be a No Holds Barred match. Owens teased them for being afraid of The Undertaker until Dolph Ziggler randomly showed up. The focus shifted to Owens telling Ziggler to shut up and that it should've been him, but it never will be. Shane booked the two in a tag team match for later against Heavy Machinery with tag title shot implications on the line.

— Daniel Bryan defeated Big E by pinfall.

— R-Truth plans on coming for Drake Maverick to win back his 24/7 Championship.

— At Alexa Bliss's request, Nikki Cross hosted A Moment of Bliss with Bayley as her guest. They argued about Bliss, per usual, repeating many of the same things that have been said every episode of Raw and SmackDown the past few weeks. Cross challenged Bayley to a match. Bayley defeated Cross by pinfall.

— Ali wants to bring about change and is gunning for the WWE Championship.

— Kofi Kingston and Samoa Joe had a face-to-face promo, which resulted in the two fighting and Kingston coming out the victor of the skirmish.

— Bobby Lashley said the next time he sees Braun Strowman, instead of sending him to a hospital, he'll send him to a morgue.

— Andrade defeated Apollo Crews by pinfall.

— Aleister Black spoke about the mystery person who knocked on his door last week and challenged them to reveal themselves at Extreme Rules.

— Ember Moon defeated Mandy Rose by pinfall.

— Backstage, Shelton Benjamin was asked who will win the WWE Championship match at Extreme Rules and his response was to look around nervously, smile, and exit the camera frame.

Heavy Machinery defeated Kevin Owens and Dolph Ziggler by pinfall. They will now be fighting for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship at Extreme Rules against The New Day and Daniel Bryan and Rowan in a Triple Threat match. Following the match, Owens hit Ziggler with a Stunner.
