The latest edition of SmackDown Live for July 24, 2018 took place at the Ford Center in Evansville, IN.
Here is a recap of the highlights from this episode for those who may have missed it:
— Randy Orton cuts a promo explaining why he attacked Jeff Hardy. He feels like the fans don't respect him enough and he deserves better, so he's going to make it his mission to take out every person that is put on a pedestal by the audience, who he views as the true Legend Killer.
— Andrade "Cien" Almas defeated Rusev by pinfall after a distraction ringside of Aiden English inadvertently bumping into Lana while trying to break up a fight between her and Zelina Vega. After the commercial break, a frustrated Rusev tells English and Lana that maybe neither of them is good for him.
— Samoa Joe defeated R-Truth by submission.
— Asuka defeated Billie Kay by pinfall.
— James Ellsworth interrupts the contract signing with AJ Styles and Paige, so Paige fires him. While she's busy dealing with that, Samoa Joe comes out to attack Styles from behind and sign the contract.
— Becky Lynch defeated Carmella by submission and has earned a title opportunity for the SmackDown Women's Championship at SummerSlam.
— The New Day defeated SAnitY by pinfall to advance to the finals of the tournament to determine who faces The Bludgeon Brothers for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship at SummerSlam. They will face either The Bar or The Usos, who will compete next week.
— The Miz, along with Maryse and their daughter Monroe Sky, have an in-ring promo segment. Daniel Bryan comes out and The Miz tosses his the doll he was pretending to be his daughter toward Bryan so he can get the jump on him and lay him out with a Skull Crushing Finale and running his mouth to end the show.
