The latest edition of SmackDown Live for July 30, 2019 took place at the FedExForum in Memphis, TN.
Here is a recap of the most noteworthy highlights from this episode for those who might have missed it:
— The show started with a message from Shane McMahon about how he wouldn't be on SmackDown due to Kevin Owens, who then cut a promo on how he would beat Shane at SummerSlam before Drew McIntyre came out for a match between the two. Kevin Owens defeated Drew McIntyre by pinfall.
— Aleister Black spoke on how he wants someone else to pick a fight with him. Later, Sami Zayn was interviewed and he said that he thinks Black needs help, so he's going to do him a favor by beating him at SummerSlam, exposing him, and allowing him to move on and heal.
— Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross defeated Bayley and Ember Moon by pinfall with Bliss pinning Moon.
— Daniel Bryan once again didn't clarify what his career altering announcement is.
— Jerry "The King" Lawler hosted an edition of The King's Court with Trish Stratus, which was just a means for Charlotte Flair to officially challenge Stratus to a match for SummerSlam, which Stratus accepted.
— A Firefly Fun House segment reminded viewers that Bray Wyatt will face Finn Balor at SummerSlam. Dolph Ziggler defeated Finn Balor by pinfall due to a distraction by Bray Wyatt.
— Ali defeated Shinsuke Nakamura by pinfall
— Randy Orton was hyped up in a video package to help promote his upcoming title match against Kofi Kingston at SummerSlam.
— Kofi Kingston defeated AJ Styles by pinfall
— Roman Reigns was set to issue a SummerSlam challenge, but the segment was just some backstage equipment almost falling on him from someone (likely Samoa Joe) who was out to get him.
