The latest edition of SmackDown Live for March 12, 2019 took place at the Nutter Center in Dayton, OH.
Here is a recap of the most noteworthy highlights from this episode for those who may have missed it:
— Shane McMahon talked about how he's sick and tired of everybody asking him for favors and now, he's going to look out just for himself. As such, he enjoyed himself so much when he was beating up The Miz that he wants to do it again at WrestleMania.
— The Hardy Boyz, Aleister Black and Ricochet vs. The Bar, Rusev and Shinsuke Nakamura was ruled a no-contest after The New Day interfered.
— Randy Orton and AJ Styles traded verbal jabs about each other. Orton criticized Styles being on the indies while he was making history in WWE. Styles said he's proud of his indie time and Orton wouldn't make it in that environment as Orton has always had help in stables like Evolution, Legacy and so forth.
— Asuka defeated Sonya Deville by submission
— Becky Lynch cut a promo about playing Ronda Rousey like a fiddle, which prompted Charlotte Flair to come out to complain that she's been hot for 4 years while Becky has only been hot for a few months.
— Rey Mysterio and R-Truth defeated Samoa Joe and Andrade by pinfall
— Daniel Bryan and Rowan defeated Kevin Owens and Mustafa Ali by pinfall
— Vince McMahon tried to explain that he thinks Kofi Kingston has never been championship material. He's just a B+ player. Kofi said he needs to know what he needs to do to prove to Vince that he's worth the title shot. Randy Orton, Samoa Joe, The Bar and Rowan came out and Vince said all Kofi has to do is beat all of them in a gauntlet match next week and he'll earn his match at WrestleMania. A brawl erupted and The New Day stood tall.
