The latest edition of SmackDown Live for March 26, 2019 took place at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT.
Here is a recap of the most noteworthy highlights from this episode for those who may have missed it:
— The New Day contemplated quitting WWE. After Vince McMahon and Daniel Bryan came out for the promo, McMahon booked a gauntlet match for Big E and Xavier Woods with Kofi Kingston's title match at WrestleMania on the line.
— After a promo from Becky Lynch about Charlotte Flair not bringing anything to the table for their match at WrestleMania, Charlotte Flair defeated Asuka by submission to win the SmackDown Women's Championship
— Kurt Angle vs. AJ Styles was interrupted fairly quickly by Randy Orton, who hit Styles with an RKO out of nowhere to ruin the match and have it thrown out with a disqualification.
— The Miz challenged Shane McMahon to add a Falls Count Anywhere stipulation to their match for WrestleMania. Shane came out with security, Primo Colon, Shelton Benjamin and SAnitY. He accepted the challenge. The Miz brawled with everyone (except for Shane) and came out on top of the battle.
— Tag Team Gauntlet Match: The New Day defeated The Good Brothers, then, Rusev and Shinsuke Nakamura, then The Bar. The Usos forfeited out of respect to The New Day. Finally, Big E and Xavier Woods defeat Daniel Bryan and Rowan by count out. Vince McMahon confirmed at the end of the show to Kayla Braxton that Kofi Kingston will indeed get his title match at WrestleMania.
