The latest edition of SmackDown Live for May 21, 2019 took place at the Dunkin' Donuts Center in Providence, RI.

Here is a recap of the most noteworthy highlights from this episode for those who may have missed it:

— The show started with Elias apologizing to Shane McMahon backstage, followed by an in-ring promo with The New Day celebrating Big E's return. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn interrupted the fun to set up a match for later between Zayn and Kofi Kingston.

— R-Truth's attempt to avoid losing the 24/7 Championship revolved around wearing a $12 wig and having Carmella's help in keeping him safe.

— Ali defeated Andrade by pinfall

— Carmella vs. Mandy Rose was ruled a no-contest when a bunch of superstars rushed the ring in an attempt to get to R-Truth.

Kofi Kingston defeated Sami Zayn by pinfall. Following the match, Paul Heyman came out, teasing the idea of cashing in the Money in the Bank briefcase. In that distraction, Dolph Ziggler attacked Kingston out of nowhere.

— Becky Lynch and Bayley defeated Charlotte Flair and Lacey Evans by pinfall

— R-Truth avoided more backstage attacks with Carmella's help.

— Dolph Ziggler explained why he went after Kofi Kingston by saying that all the success and love and admiration Kingston has had since Elimination Chamber should have been given to him. They will have a match at Super ShowDown for the WWE Championship.

Roman Reigns defeated Elias by pinfall. After the match, Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre attacked Reigns.
