The latest edition of SmackDown Live for October 9, 2018 took place at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, IN.

Here is a recap of the most noteworthy highlights from this episode for those who may have missed it:

— Becky Lynch retained the SmackDown Women's Championship over Charlotte Flair as both were counted out. They continued to fight after the match and Flair speared Lynch through the LED board on the stage.

— Jeff Hardy defeated Samoa Joe to qualify for the World Cup tournament. He was granted the win after the referee stopped the match and ruled that Joe was unable to continue, following his leg injuries catching up to him.

— Paige announces that at Evolution, Becky Lynch will put the SmackDown Women's Championship on the line against Charlotte Flair yet again, in a Last Woman Standing match.

— AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan are guests on MizTV. They make fun of The Miz, but show their respect they have for each other.

— AJ Styles defeated Shelton Benjamin by pinfall

— The rest of Aiden English's footage airs, as Lana hacked into his account to get access to the tape. It shows English making a pass at Lana and being shut down. English says the offer still stands and Rusev goes after him, so English runs off.

— Randy Orton defeated Big Show by pinfall to qualify for the World Cup tournament
