The latest edition of SmackDown Live for September 10, 2019 took place at the Madison Square Garden in New York, NY.
Here is a recap of the most noteworthy highlights from this episode for those who September have missed it:
— The Undertaker started the show with a promo that was interrupted by Sami Zayn, who fell victim to a chokeslam for being disrespectful.
— Shane McMahon announced that Elias had suffered an ankle injury and wouldn't be able to compete in the King of the Ring tournament match he was scheduled for. Instead, McMahon himself chose to replace Elias and put Kevin Owens as the special guest referee and entice him to help him win by saying he would rescind his $100K fine.
— The Miz defeated Andrade by pinfall.
— Nikki Cross defeated Mandy Rose by pinfall.
— Heavy Machinery defeated Johnny Silver and Alex Keaton by pinfall.
— Bayley defeated Ember Moon by pinfall.
— Erick Rowan and Roman Reigns had a brawl, as did Kofi Kingston and Randy Orton. Rowan and Kingston came out on top of their fights.
— Chad Gable defeated Shane McMahon by pinfall. McMahon then turned the match into a 2-out-of-3 falls match. Gable won the second fall by submission to advance to the final of the King of the Ring tournament. McMahon then attacked Owens and fired him.
