The latest edition of SmackDown Live for September 11, 2018 took place at the Cajundome in Lafayette, LA.

Here is a recap of the highlights from this episode for those who may have missed it:

— The show begins with an 11-bell toll in honor of the September 11th attacks.

— Jeff Hardy cuts a promo on his Hell in a Cell match against Randy Orton and how he'll render him obsolete. Jeff Hardy defeated Shinsuke Nakamura by disqualification following interference from Orton. They brawl and Hardy comes out on top.

— In an empty arena earlier today, AJ Styles talked about Samoa Joe and how personal this feud has become.

— Charlotte Flair defeated Sonya Deville by submission. After the match, Becky Lynch attacked her.

— Rusev Day defeated The Bar by pinfall to earn a SmackDown Tag Team Championship title opportunity for Hell in a Cell against The New Day

— Andrade "Cien" Almas defeated R-Truth by pinfall

— Brie Bella vs. Maryse ends up being a mess with Daniel Bryan and The Miz getting involved and no bell sounding for an official end decision, although it's either a no-contest or a disqualification.
