The latest edition of SmackDown Live for September 17, 2019 took place at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, GA.

Here is a recap of the most noteworthy highlights from this episode for those who September have missed it:

— Six-Man Tag Team Match: The New Day defeated Randy Orton and The Revival by pinfall. Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar then came out to challenge Kofi Kingston to a WWE Championship match on the Fox debut of SmackDown.

— Erick Rowan had a sit-down interview with Michael Cole. Rowan said he did what he did to Roman Reigns because he's been disrespected and overlooked for far too long and he wanted to prove that nobody will treat him like that ever again.

— Sami Zayn and Shinsuke Nakamura attacked Ali, causing the Ali vs. Nakamura match to be thrown out and not officially start.

— Kevin Owens showed up with a ticket. Shane McMahon was served the papers for a lawsuit that if Owens were to win, he'd be awarded $25 million and would be able to fire Shane.

— Charlotte Flair defeated Sasha Banks by disqualification due to interference by Bayley. Carmella came out to help Flair fight off Banks and Bayley.

— The official coronation of King of the Ring winner Baron Corbin was spoiled by Chad Gable, who attacked Corbin after the new king kept making short jokes about him. Gable ripped the robe and broke the scepter, crown and throne.

— Heavy Machinery defeated The B-Team by pinfall

— Daniel Bryan cut a promo on how he always saw Erick Rowan's potential and he never lied to the WWE Universe. Rowan came out to say Bryan never treated him like an equal and was trying to turn him into his puppet. Rowan and Luke Harper attacked Bryan and Roman Reigns came out to fight them off, but was overtaken by the numbers game. Harper and Rowan destroyed the ringside area and took out security and officials.
