The latest edition of SmackDown Live for September 24, 2019 took place at the Chase Center in San Francisco, CA.
Here is a recap of the most noteworthy highlights from this episode for those who September have missed it:
— Erick Rowan started the show with a promo about how he's a creator of annihilation. Daniel Bryan interrupted to challenge him to a match. Rowan defeated Bryan by pinfall. After the match, Roman Reigns came out to help Bryan fend off Rowan and Luke Harper. Bryan then got a microphone and asked the crowd if they wanted to see Bryan and Reigns team up to kick Rowan's and Harper's disrespectful asses, which was met with a resounding "Yes!"
— Chad Gable defeated Mike Kanellis with a quick submission. Elias then sang a song where he picked on Gable for being short.
— Bayley and Sasha Banks defeated Carmella and Charlotte Flair by submission with Banks tapping out Carmella. R-Truth then grabbed Carmella and they ran away from the women's roster chasing them for the 24/7 Championship. This opened an opportunity for Bayley and Banks to team up on Flair until Becky Lynch made the save.
— Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Ali by pinfall
— The New Day defeated The B-Team by pinfall
— The Kabuki Warriors defeated Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville by pinfall
— Kevin Owens and Shane McMahon will face each other in a ladder match at Hell in a Cell. If Owens wins, McMahon is gone from WWE and Owens is reinstated. If McMahon wins, Owens will drop the lawsuit.
— Sasha Banks attacked Becky Lynch backstage while she was doing an interview to end the show.
