SMACKDOWN LIVE Highlights For September 4, 2018: Triple Threat Tag Team Match And More

The latest edition of SmackDown Live for September 4, 2018 took place at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, MI.

Here is a recap of the highlights from this episode for those who may have missed it:

— Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella are interviewed by Renee Young. Earlier today, The Miz and Maryse called them out, but they've left the arena since then, so there's no confrontation. Andrade "Cien" Almas and Zelina Vega show up to say that they want another match between Almas and Bryan. Daniel Bryan defeated Andrade "Cien" Almas by pinfall. Afterward, The Miz and Maryse pop up on the TitanTron to say they're eating dinner and talk some more trash. Post-commercial, Bryan and Brie tell Kayla Braxton that they're heading to the same restaurant The Miz and Maryse are at.

— Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch are in separate rooms to talk to each other. Once again, Becky is painted as the villain, but the crowd cheers for her.

— Naomi defeated Peyton Royce by pinfall. The IIconics attacked Naomi after the match until Asuka made the save.

— Now that Bryan and Brie have left, The Miz and Maryse show up on SmackDown to talk to Paige. They bump into R-Truth backstage, too.

— Samoa Joe and AJ Styles come to blows after Joe cuts a promo on Wendy.

— Rusev Day defeated The Usos and SAnitY by pinfall. Next week, they will face The Bar to determine who gets a shot at The New Day's SmackDown Tag Team Championship titles at Hell in a Cell.

— R-Truth defeated The Miz by pinfall after a distraction from Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella, who attack Miz and Maryse. Almas and Vega attack Bryan and Brie, allowing Miz and Maryse to escape.
