The latest edition of SmackDown Live for July 3, 2018 took place at the Century Link Center in Omaha, NE.

Here is a recap of the highlights from this episode for those who may have missed it:

— Renee Young interviews Team Hell No, who bicker a bit about whether or not they always have each other's back. The Usos interrupt to stake claim to a tag title shot, which prompts Paige to come out and state that if The Usos defeat Team Hell No, they'll be added to Extreme Rules and the SmackDown Tag Team Championship bout will be a Triple Threat match.

— Jeff Hardy retained the United States Championship over The Miz by pinfall

— The New Day's First Annual Third of July Pancake Eating Contest is immediately interrupted by an attack from SAnitY.

— Asuka and James Ellsworth have a double count-out after Ellsworth tries to run away, but Asuka chases him around the arena. Carmella gets a quick hit in on Asuka to allow them to escape.

— AJ Styles defeated Aiden English by submission. After the match, Rusev jumps Styles and beats him down.

— Backstage, Paige informs James Ellsworth and Carmella that next week, Ellsworth will have a Lumberjack Match against Asuka to ensure he doesn't run away.

— Becky Lynch defeated Peyton Royce by submission

— Team Hell No defeated The Usos by pinfall.
