Following SummerSlam, there was a lot for fans to be intrigued by as the PPV saw The Miz cheat to beat Daniel Bryan, AJ Styles brutally attack Samoa Joe, and Becky Lynch turn heel. All of that was touched on during Tuesday's stellar episode of SmackDown Live, while WWE also promoted a Tag Team Championship rematch between The New Day and The Bludgeon Brothers beforehand.
As a result, it probably won't surprise you to learn that ratings for the show were up for the post-SummerSlam edition as SmackDown Live attracted a total of 2,437,000 viewers. That's up from last Tuesday's 2,189,000 viewers and the show was also ranked #1 for the entire night on cable. With Hell in a Cell just weeks away, WWE will no doubt look to keep these strong numbers going.
