SMACKDOWN LIVE Ratings Didn't Receive Much Of A Boost Following RAW's Anniversary

Monday night's episode of RAW (which marked the show's 25th anniversary) did huge numbers for WWE but the extra people who tuned in clearly weren't intrigued by the product enough to watch SmackDown Live the following evening because ratings for that actually dropped from last week despite the fact that this was the go home show ahead of the Royal Rumble PPV.

This week's show did 2,580,000 million viewers and that's down from last Tuesday's 2,602,000 million viewers. Ratings have steadily declined since the first SmackDown Live on January 2nd.

The question is, how will WWE respond to this? Something big needs to happen and it's about time the tension between Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon reaches its head because that storyline feels like it's going nowhere at the moment. Perhaps we'll finally start getting some answers at the Royal Rumble! What do you guys think? Be sure to let us know your thoughts below.
