SmackDown Live has been in something of a holding pattern for weeks now and the days of it being significantly better than RAW appear to be over. The rivalry between AJ Styles and Sami Zayn/Kevin Owens is plodding along with a series of relatively similar matches and the tension between Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon also doesn't appear to going anywhere despite rumours of a heel turn.
This lack of excitement is apparent from the show's ratings as they've taken another hit. Tuesday night's episode did a total of 2,505,000 million viewers, down from 2,580,000 million viewers last week.
That's not a massive drop but viewership has been on the decline since the year started and we've yet to see Vince McMahon respond to that in any way. With the Fastlane PPV and WrestleMania fast approaching, though, you have to hope that things will change and the show will receive a shake up.
