SMACKDOWN LIVE Ratings Dipped Slightly This Week Despite It Being Another Stellar Show

RAW ratings fell slightly this week but it wasn't alone because SmackDown Live also lost some viewers despite it being a strong episode featuring the return of WWE Champion AJ Styles to respond to Samoa Joe!

This week's SmackDown Live was nothing short of fantastic. AJ Styles delivered a passionate promo aimed at his SummerSlam opponent Somoa Joe, The Miz finally accepted Daniel Bryan's challenge, and the main event was a stellar tag team match between The Bar and The New Day. However, it appears as if WWE failing to advertise most of that beforehand caused the show to lose some viewers.

In total, Tuesday's instalment of SmackDown Live did a total of 2,197,000 viewers. That's down from last week's 2,401,000 viewers and while it's a fairly big drop, it's not really huge cause for concern.

Chances are that ratings with spike now that SummerSlam is around the corner (don't be surprised if we get some unexpected
callups after the PPV takes place) and WWE is unlikely to be worried because it was still the top-ranked show on cable this past Tuesday! What did you think of SmackDown Live? As always, be sure to let us know your thoughts on that in the comments section below.
