Ratings for RAW and SmackDown were definitely helped by WrestleMania and the Superstar Shakeup but numbers are still down from this time last year. Tuesday night's episode managed to draw a solid 2.219 million viewers, a 1% increase from last week's 2.199 million viewers that the post-WrestleMania edition drew.
WWE hyped the show up beforehand promises a massive announcement which ended up being Elias making the leap from RAW to SmackDown Live. That was, of course, followed by Roman Reigns' debut.
SmackDown Live ended up being the #9 show on cable for the night. Its biggest competition was NCIS on CBS which drew a far more impressive 11.879 million viewers. Compared to the Superstar Shakeup edition of the show last year, viewership was down 21% which is obviously not great. How WWE will combat that is unclear.
