This week's SmackDown Live may have delivered a great set of videos building to Daniel Bryan and The Miz's match at SummerSlam but other rivalries weren't quite so lucky as we were "treated" to Randy Orton hiding behind a curtain and an anti-climactic promo featuring AJ Styles and Samoa Joe which saw the latter reading a letter which he claimed had been sent to him by Styles' wife.
So, with not many exciting matches and segments announced beforehand, you probably won't be shocked to learn that this Tuesday's episode did perform quite so well as last week's in terms of ratings.
In total, the show managed to draw 2,198,000 viewers, a very slight dip compared to the 2,197,000 viewers who tuned in the week before. On the plus side, that's a very small drop and SmackDown Live was still ranked the #1 show on cable for the night so chances are WWE is feeling perfectly happy with these numbers.
