SMACKDOWN LIVE Ratings Dipped This Week For The Go Home Show For HELL IN A CELL

This week's episode of SmackDown Live was headlined by Brie Bella vs. Maryse but that clearly wasn't a big enough draw for fans because ratings for the show dipped on Tuesday just as they did for RAW...

On this Tuesday's episode of SmackDown Live, we got perhaps the most bizarre promo ever courtesy of Samoa Joe, a United States Championship match pitting Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Jeff Hardy, and a main event which (sort of) saw Maryse return to singles action for the first time in over seven years.

Unfortunately, it doesn't appear as if viewers were overly keen on checking out what was advertised beforehand because the show drew a total of 2,229,000 viewers. That's not a bad result by any means but it is down from last Tuesday's 2,319,000 and you'd think ratings would be higher before a PPV.

After all, there's a lot to look forward to at Hell in a Cell, especially on the SmackDown Live side. AJ Styles will square off with Samoa Joe with the WWE Championship on the line, Daniel Bryan will finally get his hands on The Miz, and Jeff Hardy will finally step inside a Cell to do battle with Randy Orton.
