WWE didn't advertise an awful lot before Tuesday night's episode of SmackDown Live and with Eric Bischoff not expected to start working on the show until after Extreme Rules, it seems fans just weren't that interested in tuning in.
The blue brand was only able to draw 1.890 million viewers, a 1.6% drop from the previous Tuesday's 1.921 million viewers.
That was the fourth lowest SmackDown Live audience for a non-holiday episode in the show's history. It's not clear why fans chose not to tune in but it could have something to do with the fact that people were more interested in what Paul Heyman would do with RAW than what Eric Bischoff has planned for SmackDown Live!
With any luck, the show will go through some changes when Bischoff starts working on it after the PPV and that will help turn things around.
