SMACKDOWN LIVE Ratings Remain Steady Despite An Underwhelming End To The US Title Tournament

This week's episode of SmackDown Live was missing a lot of big stars but that didn't hurt the ratings and viewership remains steady as we head to the Royal Rumble. Hit the jump for the latest numbers!

This week's episode of SmackDown Live unexpectedly featured the finals of the United States Championship tournament which concluded with Bobby Roode beating Jinder Mahal for the title. AJ Styles did a brief backstage promo but didn't wrestle on the show and Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Randy Orton were nowhere to be seen giving the show a real B-List feel.

Despite that, ratings remained strong as Tuesday's episode did 2,602,000 million viewers in total. That's barely down from the 2,603,000 million viewers that SmackDown Live managed last week.

The show was also ranked second in the top 150 shows on cable for the night which is not bad by any means. With next week's episode set to follow RAW 25 and serve as the go home show for the Royal Rumble, the storylines will hopefully start heating up again, especially as Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan's rivalry was also put on the backburner this week. What did you think of the show?
