The latest edition of SmackDown Live for February 27, 2018 took place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
Here are the live, ongoing results of what transpired during the show:
— John Cena opened the show to talk about how he wants in on the Fatal 5-Way WWE Championship match at Fastlane. After Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan came out to address the situation, a match was made for the main event later tonight where if Cena can defeat AJ Styles, he'll be inserted into the match.
— Baron Corbin defeated Sami Zayn by pinfall, following a bit of a distraction from Dolph Ziggler attacking Kevin Owens, who was ringside doing commentary for the match. After the match, Ziggler hit Corbin with a Zig Zag.
— Backstage, Zayn and Owens complained to Shane McMahon about Ziggler's interference, but since Daniel Bryan just left to go home, Shane tells them to go catch up to him because Brie doesn't like it when everyone's late for dinner.
— Ruby Riott defeated Naomi by pinfall.
— Josh Duhamel is backstage to help promote his new show Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac & Biggie, which is set to premiere tonight. He talks to The Fashion Police about how they're his fashion icons, but that they aren't cops and they just use this to do parodies of shows. Fandango and Tyler Breeze say they'll solve the Big E case, which prompts The New Day to come out and Big E to rap. Duhamel reveals that he isn't a real detective and he only plays one on television, which upsets Breezango.
— The New Day head to the ring for a promo about their upcoming SmackDown Tag Team Championship match against The Usos at Fastlane. The Usos come out to make the case that they've been grinding and working hard to prove that they belong at WrestleMania and in nine years, they've been on the sidelines all the time for that show. The New Day talk about how they've been setting records for years and at Fastlane, they'll become five time champions. The Bludgeon Brothers interrupt to make a statement, but say nothing, as The Usos and The New Day leave.
— In a handheld video in the locker room, Dolph Ziggler says it's too bad he's that good and he'll win at Fastlane.
— Bobby Roode tells Renee Young that he wants to test himself against the best talent like Randy Orton in order to prove himself to be the greatest United States champion of all time. Orton pops up to say he's not upset about the Top 10 list. He just happens to want that title and Roode happens to be the guy he has to go through to get it.
— Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Aiden English by pinfall. John Cena's entrance cuts into Nakamura's exit and they stare each other down and point at the WrestleMania sign momentarily.
— John Cena defeats AJ Styles by pinfall. It will now be a six-pack challenge at Fastlane. Owens, Zayn and Corbin come out to attack Cena and Styles. Ziggler fights them off, but hits Styles afterward. Cena plants Ziggler with an Attitude Adjustment and the show quickly goes off the air.
