The latest edition of SmackDown Live for March 6, 2018 took place at the Resch Center in Green Bay, WI.
Here are the ongoing live results of what transpired during the show:
— Charlotte Flair and Ruby Riott start the episode with a promo in the ring. Riott explains that she formed The Riott Squad to take down the myth of Charlotte Flair being amazing, as she feels that Flair was given her success handed to her on a platter. Flair retorts by saying she has expectations that she has to live up to that exceed what most people have to deal with. She has to be transcendent, not just successful. When The Riott Squad gets ready to attack Flair, Bobby Roode interrupts with his entrance. They cut to a commercial and Roode is on commentary for the next match, with the women having just left with no real resolution.
— Jinder Mahal defeated Randy Orton by pinfall
— In the locker room, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens talk about how Zayn had said he'd let Owens beat him in the Six Pack Challenge. He reiterates that yes, he will lie down for him as a thank you for giving him a boost in his career.
— Baron Corbin singles out John Cena as his target for the Six Pack Challenge in a handheld promo video.
— Shinsuke Nakamura tells Dasha Fuentes that he hopes AJ Styles retains the WWE Championship at Fastlane, because he wishes to beat him for the title at WrestleMania with a knee to the face. Rusev and Aiden English interrupt to complain about Nakamura injuring English's throat in their match last week. Rusev challenges Nakamura to a fight at Fastlane, which Nakamura accepts. He then says that when he beats Rusev, it will be Nakamura Day.
— Becky Lynch defeated Carmella by submission
— Natalya and Naomi have a verbal spat backstage, which leads to Naomi challenging her to a tag team match at Fastlane (Naomi and Becky Lynch against Natalya and Carmella).
— AJ Styles addresses John Cena's claims that he'll win at Fastlane and Styles can just use his rematch at WrestleMania. The Phenomenal One doesn't want that. He wants to fight Shinsuke Nakamura in a dream match that nobody thought would happen in WWE. Dolph Ziggler interrupts to say Styles used to be cool and that he doesn't have the right outlook. He can't do anything for the fans or for the people in the back and expect to get anything out of it, because Ziggler has spent years getting stabbed in the back. Styles suggests they just have their match right now instead of later.
— AJ Styles vs. Dolph Ziggler is a no-contest after Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn interfere. They beat down both Ziggler and Styles, who are exhausted after a very competitive match together. Shane McMahon comes out to book the four of them and Baron Corbin in a Fatal 5-Way match right now.
— Fatal 5-Way Match: Sami Zayn defeated AJ Styles, Dolph Ziggler, Kevin Owens and Baron Corbin after pinning Owens with a Helluva Kick. Following the match, Dasha asked Zayn to clarify why he did that and Zayn says he's been the most overlooked performer on SmackDown and he's the best.
