The latest edition of SmackDown Live for May 1, 2018 took place at the Bell Centre in Montreal, QC.

Here are the results of what transpired during the show:

— Paige starts the show by announcing that the WWE Championship match at Backlash will be under a No Disqualification stipulation.

— The Miz bans Daniel Bryan from MizTV until further notice because he no-showed last week's appearance, and sends a message to Seth Rollins that he will win the Intercontinental Championship at Backlash. His guest for tonight's edition is Jeff Hardy. The Miz asks him if he thinks he's a better intercontinental champion than Rollins, with The Miz calling out Randy Orton, but The Viper says he's actually cool with Hardy as they're even. The Miz brings up the SmackDown Top Ten List and Orton says nobody cares about that. Shelton Benjamin interrupts to say he's the one who deserves the United States title shot as he beat Orton. This prompts a fight with the two babyfaces against the two heels, leading into a tag team match.

— Jeff Hardy and Randy Orton defeated The Miz and Shelton Benjamin by pinfall. Following the match, Orton hit Hardy with an RKO to make a statement.

— Renee Young interviews The IIconics, who tell her to leave and go chase a moose. Billie Kay and Peyton Royce then talk to Carmella about how they're all better than Charlotte Flair, Asuka and Becky Lynch, their opponents tonight.

— Daniel Bryan isn't cleared to compete out of fear that he may have a chest infection.

— The Bar bump into The New Day backstage. Mr. Bootyworth gives them a plate of pancakes, but they throw them away. Sheamus challenges Xavier Woods to a match.

— Lana tells Rusev that Aiden English is holding him back.

— Big Cass cuts a promo on Daniel Bryan's size again. He invites Bryan to come out, and instead, a little person dressed up like Bryan comes out. Cass makes short jokes and then beats him up.

— AJ Styles talks to Renee Young about his problems with Shinsuke Nakamura until Samoa Joe comes out to intimidate him and say he'll beat Roman Reigns at Backlash. After he does that, he's coming for the WWE Championship. Shinsuke Nakamura nails AJ Styles with a low blow while he's distracted.

— Becky Lynch, Asuka and Charlotte Flair pump each other up in the locker room to prep for their match.

— Xavier Woods defeated Sheamus by pinfall.

— Paige tells Mandy Rose that she'll be facing Becky Lynch next week and that she and Sonya Deville won't get any special treatment from her, because Absolution is dead.

— Six-Woman Tag Team Match: Charlotte Flair, Asuka and Becky Lynch defeated Carmella and The IIconics by submission
