SMACKDOWN LIVE Superstar Samoa Joe Comments On A Possible Feud With WWE Champion AJ Styles
Samoa Joe interrupting AJ Styles on SmackDown this past Tuesday certainly seemed to indicate that a feud is in the cards, and now the Samoan Submission Machine has all-but confirmed that it's going to happen.
Samoa Joe and AJ Styles have clashed many times over the course of their illustrious careers, but they have yet to come face-to-face in a WWE ring.
This past Tuesday on SmackDown LIVE, Joe interrupted The Phenomenal One as he was cutting a promo on his Backlash opponent Shinsuke Nakamura, promising that whoever won that WWE Championship no DQ match would have to face him next.
Obviously, this implies that a feud is brewing - however, recent reports indicate that it may not necessarily be for the title. Regardless, the prospect of these former TNA rivals going one-on-one in a WWE ring for the first time is certainly an exciting one.
Here's what Joe has to say about the possibility during a recent interview with ESPN.com.
"I think it’s something that’s gonna happen. A lot of the WWE universe hasn’t been able to experience it yet. Whenever we get in the ring things get more intense. That rivalry was started over a decade ago and rest assured it'll continue in WWE."
