SMACKDOWN LIVE Superstar The Miz Posts A Throwback Photo To His "Indy" Wrestling Days

Believe it or not, The Miz wrestled on the indy scene for a while and ahead of his match against Daniel Bryan at SummerSlam, he's shared a throwback photo to his first year on the job. Take a look...

The Miz was signed by WWE a year after he started wrestling on the "indy" scene and, well, he was no Bryan Danielson back then, that's for sure. After signing a developmental deal, it didn't take long for him to become one of the company's biggest stars and while he had a pretty underwhelming few years after that, he rejuvenated his career with a heated promo on Talking Smack aimed at Daniel Bryan.

Now, with Bryan able to wrestle again, the two longtime enemies will finally come to blows at SummerSlam this month. To further hype the match, The Miz has taken to Twitter to share a throwback photo to his "indy" days and makes it clear that he could have beaten Bryan even back then. That's up for debate but this is definitely a clever way to get fans even more invested in this ongoing storyline.

Who are you rooting for at SummerSlam? Do you think The Miz will best the Leader of the Yes Movement or will Bryan put him in his place? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
