Fandango's push came to an end shortly after he made his WWE debut when an injury stopped him from winning the Intercontinental Championship. Tyler Breeze, meanwhile, was not handled well when he reached the main roster and his talents which had so often been on display down in NXT were wasted when he was paired up with Summer Rae for a very forgettable few weeks.
Since the brand split, these two have worked as a tag team on SmackDown Live and connected with fans far more easily than in the past. However, it wasn't until shortly before WrestleMania when Breeze dressed up as Nikki Bella that they started getting over with fans after a segment which many thought pretty much pointed to the end of both of their careers ever going anywhere.
During a recent chat with Chris Jericho on his podcast, the team of Breezango revealed that both John Cena and Bella were big fans of theirs and actually pushed to work with them. That obviously gave Vince McMahon some faith in the duo and explains why they've been getting a push as of late with better matches and those fun "Fashion Files" backstage segments on SmackDown Live.
They also revealed that Road Dogg has been helping them, so there's a very good chance we could see Breezango make a real impact in the tag team division sooner rather than later!
