SmackDown scored an all-time record low rating after being moved to Fox Sports 1 last week but things picked up in a big way this past Friday despite the lack of blue brand talent on the show (they were trapped in Saudi Arabia).
The show drew a 0.8 among adults 18 - 49 and averaged an impressive 2.543 million viewers. This is up from two weeks ago when it did a 0.7 and 2.441 million viewers tuned in.
This is great news for WWE and a much-needed improvement after the FS1 fiasco. Viewers were clearly intrigued by what WWE had planned with pretty much no Superstars available to compete on the show and NXT's invasion definitely appeared to benefit SmackDown as fans of those wrestlers decided to tune in and see them in action.
