The overnight ratings are in for SmackDown and it's mostly good news for the Friday night show. The latest episode drew an average of 2.418 million viewers, a minor drop compared to the previous week's 2.439 million viewers.

There were a lot of big surprises during the show, including the returns of Sheamus and John Morrison but none of that was advertised beforehand. Now, it will be interesting seeing whether that has any sort of impact on next Friday's episode as things are definitely heating up as the Royal Rumble PPV approaches.

SmackDown's first hour pulled in 2.467 million viewers, while the second drew 2.369 million viewers.

In terms of competition, SmackDown had to face off with the likes of American Housewife, 20/20, Hawaii Five-O, Magnum P.I., Blue Bloods, The Blacklist, and Dateline NBC. What did you guys think about Friday's episode? Let us know in the comments section below.
