With WWE heading to Saudi Arabia for next weekend's Crown Jewel PLE, the November 1 edition of SmackDown was taped in advance this past Friday. However, in a major contrast to Vince McMahon's time in charge of WWE, this was no throwaway pre-tape.
We're going to focus on one significant talking point, though, and that's an in-ring promo which kicked off with Jimmy Uso urging Roman Reigns to squash his beef with Jey Uso ahead of Crown Jewel.
Jey made his way to the ring, saying he wanted to sort things out with Solo Sikoa and declaring himself Roman's equal. He then gave his cousin an ultimatum: either they go into the PLE united (we'll explain that in a moment) or, if he's disrespected, he's out.
Roman paused and then agreed to Jey's terms with a resounding "Yeet!" as the original Bloodline reunited and raised their arms in unison. Of course, they're still one man short as the new Bloodline is made up of Solo Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and the terrifying Jacob Fatu.
Of course, the hope among fans is that a certain Honorary Uce, Sami Zayn, might return to the faction.
Back to Crown Jewel, and it's being reported that the event will see Roman, Jey, and Jimmy team up to face three unspecified members of The Bloodline in what promises to be a must-see match.
We'll have a full preview later this week, but here's what the Crown Jewel card currently looks like:
WWE Crown Jewel Championship Match
Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes vs. World Heavyweight Champion Gunther
WWE Women's Crown Jewel Championship Match
WWE Women's Champion Nia Jax vs. Women's Wold Champion Liv Morgan
United States Championship Match
LA Knight vs. Andrade vs. Carmelo Hayes
Randy Orton vs. Kevin Owens
Seth Rollins vs. Bronson Reed
