SmackDown kicked off with a message from Bray Wyatt in which he taunted Universal Champion Braun Strowman, but things got even more sinister when the show went off the air. After Nikki Cross shoved her to the floor, Alexa Bliss found herself alone in the middle of the ring with The Fiend.
After slowly walking around Bliss, he locked in the Mandible Claw, a shocking act and a rare example of male on female violence on WWE programming.
Bliss obviously has a history with Strowman as WWE has teased romance between the two after their teamed up for the Mixed Match Challenge a couple of years ago. With the Monster Among Men seemingly missing, The Fiend clearly wants to bring him out of hiding for a Universal title match at the upcoming SummerSlam PPV.
Had Roman Reigns not decided to go home at WrestleMania due to concerns over COVID-19, it's hard not to wonder whether The Big Dog would have been involved in basically the same storyline with Wyatt, especially given their history. Who would have subbed in for Bliss is hard to say, though.
