At last year's WrestleMania, Bayley and Sasha Banks lost the Women's Tag Team Championships to The IIconics and the current SmackDown Women's Champion has now expressed an interest in defending her title against her best friend on the Grandest Stage of Them All.

During an interview with talkSPORT before her match against Lacey Evans at Sunday's Royal Rumble, it was pointed out to Bayley that fans have never got to see her and Banks face off one on one at the Show of Shows and it was then that she shared her thoughts on the possibility of it happening in the not too distant future.

"Not my fault!" Bayley said. "I would love to. She is obviously the best ever, in my opinion. The best to ever do it. But, I guess, if her ankle is OK for the Rumble on Sunday after what Lacey Evans did to her on SmackDown, I would love to see her win the Royal Rumble match. Then I could go on and beat Lacey and maybe we could have that big old main event that we deserve."

"Obviously, myself and Sasha would be an awesome WrestleMania match," she continued. "And I would love to test myself now against Sasha Banks now. We've had many many matches in the past but I feel like we're both at a different level right now so I'd love to be pit against each other."

There's no denying that it would be a great match but it would also require one of them to become a babyface, a role neither of them seem particularly well-suited to right now. Banks has always been at her best as a heel, while Bayley is only just starting to find her groove in that role.

What do you guys think?
