TMZ Sports has revealed that former WWE Superstar Ashley Massaro was found hanging in her home in Suffolk County, New York in what's believed to have been a suicide. She failed to show up to work at a local radio station and that's what led to her being found. She was later transported to hospital and pronounced dead.

As a result of this news, an affidavit has been circulated online from 2016 in which Massaro attempted to sue WWE for neurological injuries suffered in the ring.

Most shocking is the fact she claims she was encouraged by Vince McMajon not to report the fact she was drugged and raped by US military staff while on tour in Kuwait. It's hard to imagine that incident not playing a role in her suicide.

Massaro is survived by her 18 year old daughter and WWE paid tribute to her during Money in the Bank on Sunday.
