Sonya Deville On Not Winning The Women's Tag Team Titles And Feuding With Mandy Rose - EXCLUSIVE

Sonya Deville is currently in the midst of feuding with former tag team partner Mandy Rose and breaking out as a singles star in a big way. However, while Fire & Desire is now at an end, it's hard not too look back the team's time together and wish they'd had a run with the mostly underutilised WWE Women's Tag Team Championships.

When we recently caught up with Sonya to discuss her Batwoman aspirations, we asked if she regrets not getting a run with the titles, but she puts the blame squarely on the shoulders of Rose.

"I would have loved to have said we were tag team champs, but I think a lot of the reason why not is because we could never get on the same page," she says. "I don't think we were ever consistently good for an extended period of time without some sort of betrayal or deception on her end. So, that's kind of simple: I blame her."

As for whether a reunion is possible, Sonya replied: "[Laughs] No! That little Barbie doll has been going nowhere while I'm going up, so why would I bring that toxic energy back into my life?"

With the intensity building between these two women, it's legitimately surprising they aren't squaring off at Backlash this Sunday. For what it's worth, Sonya doesn't even feel like a big money match like that is necessary, but is definitely open to it happening somewhere down the line.

"I mean, I've beaten Mandy twice fair and square already, so if she really wants a third shot, I'll give it to her. She kind of annoyed me last week when she got involved with mine and Lacey's match, and I don't know what that accomplished, but if she wants to get beat up again, I'll be happy to do so. We've got Backlash and some big PPVs coming up. She can name the time and place, and I'll be happy to embarrass her again."
