Sonya Deville Will Go One-On-One With Mandy Rose This Friday On SMACKDOWN

We were sure this match would be saved for Money in the Bank, but WWE has announced that former tag-team partners Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville will face-off in a singles match this Friday on SmackDown...

WWE has announced that former best friends and tag-team partners Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville will go one-on-one this Friday on SmackDown.

Fire and Desire imploded in the buildup to WrestleMania when it was revealed that Deville and Dolph Ziggler had sabotaged Rose's budding relationship with Otis, with the Pride Fighter taking every opportunity to fire shots - both verbal and physical - at the Golden Goddess since.

Last week on SmackDown, Deville brutally attacked her one-time bestie, ramming her into the steel steps and leaving quite a bruise on Mandy's leg (see below).

It seems odd that this bout isn't taking place at Money in the Bank just two days later, so if these two do wind up clashing in singles competition, we can probably expect some shenanigans to set up a rematch at the PPV.

This feud has a lot of potential - it's just a shame Otis and Ziggler have to be involved. There's plenty of material for both ladies to work from without the tired old love triangle storyline. Anyway, we're sure Mandy and Sonya will make the best of the situation. Tune in this Friday to see how things play out.
