WWE has confirmed that Randy Orton is set to make his return during tonight's episode of RAW. While the news broke on the company's social media accounts, we know many of you avoid those, hence the spoiler tags! Orton himself has also commented on the news, and the reason this isn't a surprise more than likely boils down to WWE's attempts to increase the show's ratings.

"Been away for a bit, but tonight, I’m back on [WWE Raw] and I won’t keep you waiting," The Viper confirmed. "I’m kicking off the show."

Orton has been off television for a while now for reasons which haven't been made entirely clear. This will be his first time in front of fans, so the response to the former WWE Champion should be loud.

A couple of weeks ago, Matt Riddle lost a match to John Morrison when Omos destroyed his scooter. AJ Styles and Omos then proceeded to savagely attack Riddle, but Orton was nowhere to be seen.

Also confirmed for tonight's show is Bobby Lashley and MVP addressing the WWE Champion's match against Goldberg at SummerSlam. Charlotte Flair is also expected to address her upset loss to RAW Women's Champion Nikki A.S.H. during last week's show.
