Before being injured at Survivor Series in 2015, Seth Rollins was rumoured to be in the running to battle Triple H at WrestleMania 32. That obviously never happened, but upon his return, it quickly became clear that the plan was once again for The Architect to take on The Game on The Grandest Stage of Them All.
Unfortunately, that was put in jeopardy when Rollins suffered a torn MCL following an attack by Samoa Joe. His leg twisted awkwardly as The Destroyer dragged him to that mat and for a while there, it appeared as if Rollins would miss yet another WrestleMania. Thankfully, we have a positive update courtesy of Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio.
"Seth is considered good for WrestleMania," he revealed. "So Triple H vs. Seth is on, and that's what they're working towards. Maybe that's why they didn't tip their hand, but they are going with the idea that that match is still on and he will be ready for WrestleMania." WWE has claimed that Rollins is "unlikely" to compete at WrestleMania, but it's clear now his sit-down interview on RAW tonight will culminate with him confirming his return.
It's obviously unfortunate that Rollins probably won't be cleared to face Samoa Joe at Fastlane, but Triple H vs. Seth Rollins at WrestleMania promises to be an incredible match!
