There have been rumblings for a while that we might get to see the first all-female Royal Rumble match at next year's PPV and that's now been confirmed by Stephanie McMahon herself. Women from RAW and SmackDown Live (the total number has yet to be revealed) will compete for the chance to compete for the Women's Championship in a singles match at the Showcase of the Immortals.

The news appeared to come as a surprise to the likes of Sasha Banks, Alexa Bliss, and Paige, and it's definitely a game changer for the women's division and a sign it's finally being taken seriously.

A singles match for the Women's Championship at WrestleMania is also long overdue and if past experience has taught us anything, it's that we should probably expect some surprises (from NXT most likely but what a great place this would be for Ronda Rousey to make her debut). What do you guys think about this announcement? As always, let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
