We recently learned Stephanie McMahon is taking what sounds like an indefinite leave of absence from WWE in order to spend more time with her family. Needless to say, the news was met with a great deal of shock and there are those who are convinced something more is going on (especially with Nick Khan stepping in to take over from Stephanie as he continues to gain power in the company).
Unlike her brother Shane, Stephanie has been embedded in the company in various roles for the better part of over two decades. Her most recent role was Chief Brand Officer, but PWTorch.com's Wade Keller believes that the real story behind what's happened probably won't come out.
However, he notes that, "The implication is, there are reasons. So this isn’t going to be a public scandal. But it’s something. Whatever is going on, sounds like it’s just very private. And so it’s a private and personal matter, it could have to do with Vince McMahon or Shane McMahon, or Triple H. It also could have to do with something completely different within the family."
There has been speculation that Vince is thinking of selling up, so is this the beginning of the end?
Time will tell, but it's definitely looking like the end is nigh for Sasha Banks and Naomi in WWE. Following reports that they'd begun to gain support backstage, Ringside News reports that WWE Creative has been told to stop pitching ideas for them. Adding to that is the Tweet below that, as you can see, anticipates the entire situation "is going to get worse before it gets any better."
Strap yourselves in folks, because it sounds like things are going to get messy...
