Earlier today, we told you about speculation that John Cena will face Universal Champion Roman Reigns at SummerSlam. Well, in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it's been confirmed that there is talk within the company about the match happening, but it has yet to be made officially official.
That would be a huge match to headline the show, especially with Cena's star on the rise in Hollywood (SummerSlam will take place just a couple of weeks after The Suicide Squad is released).
As for Hell in a Cell, it's said that there are currently no plans to have the recently returned Jimmy Uso challenge the Head of the Table at the PPV on June 20. Reigns defeated Jey during last year's show in an "I Quit" match inside the Cell. There's no word on who Reigns' opponent will be, though tonight's episode of SmackDown could clear things up a little.
Cesaro appears to be on track to face Seth Rollins, so that likely takes him out of the running.
SummerSlam's location will be revealed by WWE next weekend, but Meltzer also reports that Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas is the current frontrunner. That's why a huge main event is being looked at, and in order to give the stadium show a big money feel, an A-List host is being searched for.
