Last week, World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest and Seth Rollins agreed to a special stimulation for their title match at Money in the Bank this Saturday. If Rollins loses, he can't challenge for the title again while Priest holds it; however, if he wins, then Priest must leave The Judgement Day.
When we caught up with the faction on RAW yesterday evening, Priest confronted Dominik Mysterio for lying about being in touch with Rhea Ripley and was unhappy to find Liv Morgan in their locker room...again.
Finn Balor took Priest to one side and pointed out that it feels like he's started treating The Judgement Day like his lackeys since becoming champion. With that, WWE is once again teasing a split and likely feud between Priest and Balor.
Later in the night, Balor confronted Rollins, leading to an unhappy Priest pointing out he could handle his own business. Instead, Balor attacked the babyface, with a brawl breaking out which culminated with Priest taking Rollins down with his South of Heaven chokeslam. However, as he checked on Finn, it was clear the champion wasn't happy.
Elsewhere, Liv Morgan defeated Zelina Vega to retain the Women's World Championship thanks to interference from Dominick. She tried to return the favour later in the show (even lying beneath Dom at one point) but ended up costing him his match against father Rey Mysterio.
It's hard to predict where all this is heading, though it does feel like The Judgement Day's time together is winding down. A popular theory among fans is that Balor is in cahoots with Morgan, potentially meaning Priest and Ripley would team up upon her return. Where that leaves Dom is hard to say.
However, with SummerSlam fast approaching, we're definitely expecting this and many other storylines to boil over imminently.
