The Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal has become a good way for WWE to include pretty much everyone from RAW and SmackDown Live on the WrestleMania card (even if it's the preshow) but the match has never done much for the previous winners, with Baron Corbin arguably benefitting most because it's what led to him being brought up to the main roster a couple of years ago.

However, Bryan Alvarez is now reporting that some big changed could be coming as the current idea is for WWE to hold a female-themed match instead to fully take advantage of the popularity of women's wrestling these days. It is possible that we'll get both? That's a possibility but isn't clear right now.

"I don’t know if they’re gonna have one this year. I’ve heard they may do a women’s battle royal this year like a Mae Young or a Fabulous Moolah Memorial Battle Royal," he reveals. "It may be the women getting it this year and not the guys." This definitely makes more sense and it is about time that the women are given the opportunity to shine as well. What do you think?
