The Authors Of Pain Won't Challenge For The RAW Tag Team Titles At WRESTLEMANIA Due To Injury

During last night's episode of RAW, we learned that Andrade and Angel Garza will challenge for the tag team title at WrestleMania, but what about The Authors of Pain? Well, we now have an answer...

In recent weeks, the storyline involving Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins has fallen apart thanks to Samoa Joe's Wellness Policy suspension, and the sudden disappearance of The Authors of Pain. There have been rumblings that one of them has been injured, but Dave Meltzer has confirmed on Wrestling Observer Radio that it's Rezar who is hurt.

"The AOP was probably going to be going against The Street Profits [at WrestleMania]," he explains, "but Rezar tore his bicep so he’s out. It came out of nowhere but this is what you got. It’s just reacting to circumstances…Sh*t happen."

It does indeed, and this match would have arguably made more sense than Andrade and Angel Garza challenging for The Streets Profits at the Show of Shows.

Still, WWE is being forced to make the best of a bad situation, and this should still be an entertaining match. Rollins also won't have any back up against Kevin Owens in their singles match, so that should mean it's a fairly fought battle between the two former Universal Champions.

Stay tuned for updates.
