Have WWE's two most powerful factions just united? After last night's SmackDown, that certainly appears to be the case.
It started when The Bloodline returned to their locker room after a confrontation with their Fastlane opponents, John Cena and LA Knight. The Judgement Day was there waiting for them and, initially, it looked like a clash was imminent.
However, Rhea Ripley demanded that everyone else leave the building so she and Paul Heyman could talk. The Women's World Champion suggested they form an alliance, only for the Wiseman to say he needed authorisation from the Tribal Chief, Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
Ripley told the manager to acknowledge her and, in the main event, Knight faced Jimmy Uso. The match ended in a DQ when Solo Sikoa interfered, but Cena quickly made his way to the ring to even the odds.
With that, Heyman confirmed a team-up had been authorised, prompting a Bloodline/Judgement Day mega-faction to take shape...only for the heels to be driven off by Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso.
Survivor Series takes place next month and it feels like this is definitely building to a WarGames match of some sort.
WWE also confirmed during the show that Roman Reigns is set to make his return to the blue brand - at last - next Friday.
