The Bloodline Decimates Cody Rhodes On SMACKDOWN Ahead Of Solo Sikoa's Title Match At SUMMERSLAM

Last night's SmackDown opened with Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes making his way to the ring to address The Bloodline's attack on Randy Orton.

He was soon interrupted by A-Town Down, Austin Theory and Grayson Waller, who blamed the American Nightmare for Jacob Fatu taking out Theory. A brawl ensued, but Rhodes sent the heels packing when boxing welterweight champion Terrance Crawford provided him with a steel chair.

Backstage, Rhodes demanded a handicap match but was told by SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis that he'd need to find a tag team partner.

He did so in the returning Kevin Owens and the duo picked up the win after Rhodes hit the Cross Rhodes on Theory. Solo Sikoa - who will challenge Cody for his title at SummerSlam - then made his way to the ring, with Fatu once again decimating the fan favourites.

Rhodes was sent through the announcer's table and Owens had his throat crushed with a steel chair; heading into SummerSlam, it's clear the odds are stacked against the champion...

Elsewhere in the show, a heated confrontation between United States Champion Logan Paul and LA Knight saw the latter finally secure a title match at SummerSlam

Bayley, who will defend the Women's Championship against Nia Jax at the PLE, took out her opponent and proceeded to destroy Tiffany Stratton's Money in the Bank briefcase!
