The Confusing Ending Of This Week's Episode Of RAW Reportedly Went Exactly As Planned

Many fans thought this Monday's episode of Raw must have ran out of time when things went dark after Drew McIntyre confronted Randy Orton in the cell, but the segment reportedly went exactly as planned.

The closing segment of this week's season premiere of Raw left many fans confused, but it reportedly went exactly as planned.

Randy Orton was cutting a promo in the Hell in a Cell structure when Drew McIntyre made his way down the ramp. The Viper taunted him from behind the locked gate, but Drew grabbed some bolt cutters and snapped the lock to gain entry. McIntyre stood ringside as Orton waited in the ring with a steel chair, and... that was it. The show went off the air before any fisticuffs.

Most of us assumed that they dimply ran out of time and were forced to go dark before the throw-down, but according to PW Insiderthis was the ending that WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon approved.

The idea was to leave fans wanting more heading into their Hell in a Cell match this Sunday, which is a sound strategy, but context is all important. Why the f*ck would McIntyre go to the trouble of breaking into the cell to kick the crap out of Orton just to stand there looking at him, chair or no chair?

Anyway, we should be used to this type of thing at this stage, but... ugh. You can check out the segment for yourselves below.
