According to Deadline.com, former WWE champion Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson's show, Ballers, has been officially renewed for a fifth season on HBO.

The show focuses on Johnson’s character, Spencer Strasmore, and “explores the glamorous and often cutthroat world of pro football through a group of past and present players striving to stay in the game.” The show also stars Rob Corddry, Russell Brand, John David Washington, Omar Benson Miller, Donovan Carter, Troy Garity, London Brown and Brittany S. Hall. The show was created by Stephen Levinson, whose credentials include Boardwalk Empire.
