"The Fiend" Bray Wyatt is still the WWE Universal Champion after defeating a game Daniel Bryan in a Strap Match at the Royal Rumble PPV.
Many questioned Bryan's tactics (and sanity) when he challenged Wyatt to such a potentially dangerous bout, but the Leader of the YES! Movement was actually able to use the stipulation to his advantage, taking every opportunity to wear down his monstrous opponent with low blows, running knees and strap whips.
The one-time Planet's Champion came closer than anyone to keeping The Fiend down for a 3-count, but in the end, Wyatt proved to be too damn powerful and shrugged off Daniel's final blows to deliver a devastating Mandible Claw Slam and score a pinfall victory.
This was a very good, exciting match - even though a DB win was never on the cards. This most likely brings their feud to an end, but we wouldn't mind seeing one more encounter down the line.
