Seth Rollins is still Universal Champion after surviving the brutal onslaught and psychological warfare of "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt inside Hell in a Cell.
The match started off well, with that eerie red glow permeating the arena only adding to the already creepy atmosphere. However, it seen became clear that WWE had booked themselves into a corner. They didn't want Seth to lose the title, but nor did they want Wyatt to be pinned clean. The solution? A DQ (it's being called referee stoppage, but it's pretty much the same thing) finish in a match without any rules that's designed so we can see a clear winner.
Granted, Rollins did get pretty twisted, hitting a chair shot to the head of a prone Fiend before piling a ladder and a toolbox on top and whacking the lot with a sledgehammer. The ref warned Seth not to do it, and called for the bell when he ignored him.
The Fiend did get some of his "heat" back by attacking Rollins after the match and putting him down with the Mandible Claw, but the damage was done. The crowd was positively livid, unleashing a loud chorus of boos along with chants of "restart the match" and "AEW."
